Martingale system

Pick up any Roulette book and you are sure to read about the Martingale system. It is an easy system that's been used for years. As a matter of fact, a lot of additional games besides Roulette employ this system also.

Largely, the Martingale system was designed for even-money bets, but the assumption can be used to almost anything. Now, we will view the Martingale betting system from an even-money Roulette position.

Technically, this system, which is a series of bet progressions, may move on forever and a day, but that would be stupid. Typically, system betters will limit their progressions to 8 or less. And once we go over the progressions, you will find out why.

Is betting the Martingale method silly? A few say so. That is something you will have to determine for yourself. I have watched it work out and I have watched it fail. The ticket is to win more than you lose. And that is why so many attempt the Martingale method. It is not a way to speedy riches, but it certainly can be hard to lose it all some of the times.

I told you we would view this from a Roulette pair of eyes, so let's suppose that you have just walked up to the Roulette table or loading one up online. We will keep this simple. You are a $1 better. Simple enough right? Now, we are going to play Red.

Your beginning bet on Red would be $1. If you win, your next bet on Red is also $1. Put differently, you never bet more than a buck after a win. Immediately, when you lose, that is a different story.

Essentially, you will be doubling your bet after every loss. For example, let's say you bet $1 and lost. Your next bet on Red would be $2. Lose that and you will bet $4 next time. It is a simple system to play, but you require to be cautious. If you use a large progression chain and lose it all, you will be playing for ages to recover the money.

Here's a good example of an 8-step ladder.

Bet One: $1
Bet Two: $2
Bet Three: $4
Bet Four: $8
Bet Five: $16
Bet Six: $32
Bet Seven: $64
Bet Eight: $128

As you are able to see, when bet eight is on the table, there's $128 in action. If bet eight loses, you are out just over $250-all to win $1. And that is why some believe this is a silly system.

All the same, let's play the odds. The chance of getting 8 losses in a row on a close to 50/50 bet is really low. Still, it does occur.

Wish to boost your betting odds? Wait for the other side to appear 2-3 times in a row and then bet the opposite. It would then take 10-11 losers in a row to clear out the system.
